Amilo is committed to protecting user privacy when accessing the website. When users visit our websites, our web server temporarily stores the computer's connection data, a list of the web pages you visit within our site, the date and duration of the visit, the IP address of your device, the identification data of the browser type and operating system used, as well as the website that linked to ours. Additional personal information such as your name, address, phone number, or email address will not be collected unless you provide this data voluntarily, e.g., when filling out an online contact form, registering, participating in a survey or competition, executing a contract, or making an information request.
The legal basis for processing the aforementioned data categories is Article 6 (1) (a) of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Due to the stated purposes, especially to ensure security and establish a smooth connection, we have a legitimate interest in processing this data.
Web tracking data will be stored for 36 months and then automatically deleted. We also use tracking tools, targeting measures, and cookies. You will find more details on this in the "Use of web tracking", "Use of Cookies", and "Use of Google Adwords" sections below.
If you have enabled geolocation functions in your browser, we will use this data to provide you with location-based services (e.g., nearest branch location, packing stations, etc.). We will not use this data for any other purpose. If you disable this function, your data will be deleted in due time.
For contractual reasons, we also need personal data to provide services and comply with obligations arising from contractual agreements concluded with you. This data is used to perform the contract (shipping), manage customer data, process payments, and, if applicable, assess creditworthiness. Certain shipping data will also be provided to the competent authorities of the transit or destination country for customs and tax clearance or for security screening, as required by the laws of that country. The information provided typically includes: shipper's name and address, recipient's name and address, description of the goods, quantity, weight, and value of the shipment.
The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR as the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party.
If you are an existing customer of Amilo, your postal data (e.g., name, address) will be processed to contact you in order to provide the latest information on offers, news, products, and services. In addition to the existing consent, we will only process your email address to provide you with information relating to Amilo's products and similar products.
The legal basis for the aforementioned processing is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The processing of customer data for the company's own direct marketing purposes is considered to be carried out for a legitimate interest.
You have the right to object to the aforementioned processing at any time. To exercise your right, simply contact us using the contact details mentioned in the "Who is responsible?" section.

We use tracking software to determine how many users visit our website and how often. We do not use this software to collect individual personal data or individual IP addresses. The data is only used in anonymous and summarized form for statistical purposes and website development.
"Cookies" are small files that allow for the storage of device-related information, specifically while you visit one of our websites. Cookies help us determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our websites, which helps us configure our offers to be as convenient and efficient as possible.
On the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, we use "session cookies" to optimize the website and guarantee a convenient and uninterrupted user experience. These cookies are only stored for the duration of your visit to our websites. They are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
Furthermore, we use "persistent cookies" to retain information about visitors who repeatedly access one of our websites. The purpose of using cookies is to be able to offer you optimal user guidance as well as to "recognize" you and thus be able to present diverse web pages and new content during repeated use.
Generally, we do not create individual profiles of your online activities. The content of a persistent cookie is limited to an identification number. Name, email address, IP address, etc., are not saved on most of our websites.
Amilo may use embedded "share" buttons on its websites. This makes it easy for visitors to bookmark and share content via their favorite social networks. When clicking on one of these buttons, a cookie may be set by the service you have chosen to share content through. Amilo does not control the use of these cookies and you should therefore check the relevant third-party website for more information.
Please note that on some of our websites, you may notice that cookies have been set that are not related to Amilo. When you visit a page with embedded content from, for example, YouTube or Vimeo, these service providers may set their own cookies on your web browser. Amilo does not control the use of these cookies and cannot access them due to the way cookies work, as cookies can only be accessed by the party that originally set them. You should check the third-party websites for more information about these cookies.
Using our products and services without cookies is also entirely possible. In your browser, you can deactivate the saving of cookies, restrict them to specific websites, or set the browser to notify you when a cookie is sent. You can also delete cookies from your PC's hard drive at any time. Please note that in this case, you will have to accept that the website may be limited and user guidance restricted.
Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings.
On our website and in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, we are using social media plug-ins (such as Facebook, Google+, Twitter, etc.) to promote our brand, products, and services, and to interact with our customers. Therefore, these advertising purposes are considered to be carried out for a legitimate interest. The respective social media provider is responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
Amilo does not share, sell, transfer, or disseminate your personal data to third parties and will not do so in the future, unless required by law, unless necessary for the purpose of a contract, or unless you have given your explicit consent to do so. For example, it may be necessary to pass on your address and order data to our contractors when you order products.
External service providers that process data on our behalf are strictly contractually bound to maintain confidentiality under Article 28 GDPR. Amilo retains responsibility for safeguarding your information in such circumstances. Service providers follow Amilo's instructions, and this is guaranteed by technical and organizational measures, as well as by checks and controls.
In addition to the right of access, you have the following rights:

Amilo implements all necessary technical and organizational measures to protect customer personal data against loss or misuse. For instance, data is stored in a secure operating environment that is not accessible to the public. In certain cases, your personal data is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology during transmission. This means that an approved encryption procedure is used for communication between your computer and Amilo's servers if your browser supports SSL. Amilo reserves the right to change its Privacy Notice at any time with or without prior notice. Please check back frequently to be informed of any changes. By using Amilo's websites, you agree to this Privacy Notice.
We strongly advise you to be vigilant against fake emails sent by third parties, forging the Amilo name and brand. These unauthorized emails often carry images such as official-looking logos to deceive recipients.
In most cases, these emails request payment from online shoppers for the delivery of consumer goods purchased over the Internet.
Please note that Amilo does not request direct payments from online consumers. Amilo only collects fees for shipping arrangements between the sender and receiver.
The receiver remains liable to pay shipping costs, customs duties, VAT, or other similar charges, if these are validly payable at the time of delivery. Amilo is not responsible for any costs, charges, or payments incurred as a result of fraudulent activity.
If you receive an email asking you to open an email attachment to confirm an Amilo delivery, this email is fake and the attachment may contain a computer virus.
You should be alert to emails that appear to be from Amilo but ask for personal information such as login names, passwords, bank account, or credit card information. These phishing emails may include links directing you to a fake website or online form where you are asked to enter personal information.
If a link looks suspicious, please do not click on it.
